I have seen or talked to Kip almost everyday for over 15 years and have never seen or heard him do anything remotely deceptive- he couldn't be more normal. But Mark Singer trades some emails and talks to him ONCE and he's suddenly an expert on his personality? What a crock of sh*t that is!! Come on, get real!!
Wow !! Anonymous must equal Kip Litton himself again .... Or you didn't read the many articles and comments about this sad man -- He needs some help ...
This is a simple attempt on Kip's (or Kip's family's) part to make the evidence look controversial. He may appear on the surface to be normal and he probably is - after all, he has no police record or any record of any criminal wrongdoings. Basically he's most likely just a small town DDS guy who tried to puff himself up from 2009-2010 by finishing sub3hrs in lots of marathons in all 50 states. Problem is of course that he cheated!!! It's very embarrassing for him. He went to pretty good lengths to do these things, and he figured no one would notice. But Kip got lazy with his cheating efforts in mid 2010, & race directors who had already disqualified him finally started a thread on the elite running message board site, letsrun.com.
Then the game changed. it was getting lots of attention. Kip was now on the radar screen and could no longer hide his activities. Suddenly in late 2010, visitors to the message board letsrun.com recognized Kip in their own area and started noticing. Within a short time, Kip started taking down worldrecordrun.com & the "official" West Wyoming Marathon website, Sandy Springs Half Marathon website, & Pine Hills 5k website. These races were all found to be made up and hosted on the same IP address as Kip's dental practice website. In early 2011, Numerous letsrun.com visitors did some detective work of their own and all went back to official race websites of marathons that Kip had claimed to have run and looked at his race photographs which were/are available publicly because they are posted for customers to buy.
Also, Mark Singer was NOT the only only to trade emails with Kip Litton. Talk to Scott Hubbard and the Missoula Marathon Race Director, among many others. How about Wayne Kursh of the Delaware Marathon? You can talk to Scott Hubbard -> Kip likes the aliases Brian Smith and Rich Rodriguez.
My guess is that Kip will keep posting comments anonymously here for "damage control," even though the damage has been done. I wish him well.
All these accusations are BUNK! I have known Kip's wife for years and she said that she can refute any cheating claims 100%. She said that Kip never cheated, and in fact never even had a bike or a car at a single race! Mark Singer refused to talk to her at all, citing "bias". Thats why Mr. Singer makes up whatever he thinks will sell. He is such a sad little thing, obviously hungry to be in the spotlight. If this fairy tail had affected the Littons in any way, they could have easily won a lawsuit. Fortunately, things have never been better for them and most everyone that know them realize this was just a cruel and sick personal attack. Very sad that the editor signed off on this trash.
This is NOT true. Mark Singer was willing to talk to any and everyone about Kip. Mark Singer tried to contact Kip a lot but Kip hid from him and even threatened to call the police if Singer didn't leave. This is all in the New Yorker article.
It's odd that all of these pro-Kip comments are coming in mid to late December.
What a ridiculous claim. Your attempt at damage control is a joke, Kip. It is obvious you will never learn to stop the deception. What a sad life you must lead - no confidence to do anything without lying? Man up bro! Be a man!
You don't need a bike or a car to cheat in most of those races. Northville Solstice 10k is a perfect example of another one of your disqualifications after getting caught cheating. You jogged the first half mile, then strolled the 1/4 mile from Northville Downs to the downtown area, hung around, changed clothes, and jumped in for the last half mile of the race. No bike needed. No car needed. The only thing needed is a lack of a conscience, and a lack of ability to run a decently-paced 10k.
Like the other races, you got busted. I was in the race, and I know who passed me and who didn't. You didn't. The pictures don't lie - 80-90 degree day, 100% humidity, and you finish without a drop of sweat on you. LOL. What a joke.
You sir, are a sad, sad cheat. A liar. I can only hope your dental clients are aware of this, and are very careful with any extra procedures you recommend. I also hope that anybody that donated any funds to you for Cystic Fibrosis, realizes that only $50, or so, ever made it to C.F from you. If they donated to you, they should follow up with the authorities, because that would be fraud. I also hope that anyone close to you is aware of what you've done in these races so they have open eyes and don't become a victim of any other scam you might try to pull.
Clean up your act, son! If you put half your online efforts into leading an honest life, you might go places!
No. I am sorry but you have been misled. There are emails documenting the author's refusal to talk to Kip's family. A couple of conversations with them could have quickly cleared up these ridiculous claims.
Mark Singer arrived at Kip's dental office the day after 2012 Boston Marathon and Kip was about to shit himself. Kip couldn't/can't provide any witnesses besides his family. My guess is that his wife knows he's guilty but his kids don't.
I don't know about these cheating claims, he sure seems like a very honest, compassionate guy. I have seen him as a dentist for years- he is undoubtedly one of the most caring and talented dentists in the state. He has always shown integrity around me and has gone beyond the call of duty to take care of my family's needs. He listens closely to my concerns and frequently lessens my anxiety by making me laugh. It doesn't sound like you haters really even know him.
Since you admit you don't know, I can assure you that the cheating claims are 100% accurate. There is no doubt that Kip repeatedly cheated in many, many races, and was busted and disqualified from many as well. It is also well established that Kip lied to and deceived many people (race directors, teammates, competitors, etc) in an effort to avoid getting caught. This is fact. No doubt about it.
As to your claimed experiences with him. That's great if it was true. I, for one, doubt your story. I think you're Kip.
But - if you are truly a patient, I would suggest you get a second opinion for ANY major treatment Kip recommends. I would also check your bills, and what your insurance is billed, very closely from now on.
Funny thing about cheating and lying... it tends to be habit-forming.
Kip has been voted Dentist of the Year for the last 5 straight years. To make derogatory implications about his professionalism is ridiculous- you won't find many takers. For the last 15 years, he's pretty much been The Man in this area, and for good reason.
So he's a Dentist of the Year who cheats. Does being a good dentist mean you can cut courses short, take prizes away from other runners, & do it to boost your own ego?

You think cheating repeatedly in marathons is normal? Making up a marathon normal?
ReplyDeleteWhoa.....I feel honored that I happened by the site on the same day as the miscreant himself! Duuuuuuude.....why?
ReplyDeleteDr. Litton likely has some form of narcissistic personality disorder. He is a sad man. Hopefully he comes clean at some point.

ReplyDeleteKip's wife can't refute shit. If she thinks she can, then she must know NOTHING about running.
